Worcestershire Regiment Valise Badge, 2nd pattern, circa 1881 - 1890

A heavy cast gilt brass valise badge for The Worcestershire Regiment with the usual 'box' fastening. Some minor wear to gilt finish on bottom rays otherwise in great condition and rare.

A die struck browning copper cap badge with two original loops (squashed and damaged in respect of one in particular but still functional). In good overall condition excepting the damage to the loops.

This cap badge is of two part construction and of Indian manufacture, gilding metal star and crown with a white metal central mounted riveted device, with two original tombstone style fixings to reverse (north - south) complete with cotter pin.
