A die struck brass metal example with two dark toned soldered lug fastenings. Some dulling to finish from age and service wear. An original example as worn 1861 - 1869.
(Please note the shape of the tail of the numeral '4' in the final photo. It is half moon in shape and is different to the example in K&K Vol 1 Fig 146).

RMS Orduna (Pacific Steam Navigation Company) Enamel and Gilt Sweetheart Pin Brooch Badge
SS Orduna built in 1914 by Harland & Wolff for the Pacific Steamship Navigation Company (PSNCo) for use on the Latin American routes shipping mail and passengers. After two voyages she was chartered to Cunard Line during the Great War. In 1921 she went to the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company, then being resold to the PSNCo in 1926.
