2nd Pattern Rectangular, circa 5.2cm by 4cm. Removed from uniform but in very good condition. The red bells on a black background. Finely woven in silk.

Generic pattern gilt brass Spitfire fighter aircraft lapel badge which was sold in exchange for a donation to the build a Spitfire fund. With original buttonhole fixing. This example has the word "Spitfire" and two RAF Roundels on the wings. In very good condition, but with some tarnishing to the gilt finish. Circa 2.5cm long and 3.5cm wide. Super item!

A good scarce die cast bronze example on original loops (some slight twisting to these). Crowned laurel wreath on “Nec Aspera Terrent” scroll; rod and serpent of Aesculapius (the Greek God of Medicine) to voided centre.

AMWO 1217/18 of 10th October introduced this pattern which was shortly superseded by the usual winged pattern still in use today.

Ceylon Light Infantry (CLI) Officers Hallmarked Silver Collar / Field Service Cap Badge 1918

Left facing and fitted with pin and clasp, possibly for wear on the field service cap (faces the correct way) as well as collar badge. Never appears to have been fitted with lugs. Makers mark 'TBW' and Birmingham Assaye marks for 1918 (date letter t). Circa 3.7cms tall. Note without the 'ich' 'dien' on the scrolls. Scarce.
