6th/8th (TAVR) Battalion Durham Light Infantry (DLI) Officer's Service Dress Beret, 1967-68 only

This green cloth beret has the cap badge of 8th Battalion DLI mounted on the felt cloth diamond of the 6th Battalion. In 1967, following a national Defence Review, the last two DLI Territorial Battalions were combined to form the 6th/8th Battalion DLI, which became part of the Light Infantry's Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve. WW1 Durham City Special Constable Constabulary Police Enamel Gilt Mufti Lapel Buttonhole Badge

A rare badge from this very small force. Not to be confused with the frequently encountered Durham County specials badge from the same era. Some surface scratches to the enamel but otherwise intact. Original horseshoe fixing and maker marked Thomas Fattorini, Bolton.

Addey & Stanhope School Unmarked Silver Pin Brooch Badge - JTC/CCF?

I have not been able to find a specific reference to a badge being worn by this school as either a Junior Training Corps or Combined Cadet Force in the standard text books. A superb pair, die cast in bronze and of some considerable quality, with two original loops to the reverse of each. Attributed by Churchill to the West Yorkshire Regiment, post 1925. Circa 3cms tall.

4th Regiment of Foot / Kings Own Lancaster Regiment Officers Gilt Mounted Blue Frock Coat / Mufti Button, c.1840s - 1850s

A very scarce gilt button, two piece construction, fixed shank, back marked Jennens & Co, London. A small demi-ball button at circa 13mm in diameter. Gilt bright, in extremely good condition. The cypher on most of these buttons were extremely hard to read, but this one is simple with the letters KOR entwined below a Victorian crown.

A small gilt brass and enamel lapel badge as worn by this civilian organisation involved in the quality control of the aviation manufacturing industry during WW2. Original pin fitting (fully functional) with maker details ‘Roden London’ to reverse. In very good condition with no damage to the enamel. Circa 2.2cm tall.
