Bi-metal cap badge with original slider, in reasonable condition with some service wear. Not a lot one can say about this badge other than many resorted to unofficial private purchase brass eagles to make up for its uninspiring design. The eagle was of course to commemorate the capture of the French Eagle of the 105th Regiment of Infantry at Waterloo.

The 13th Hussars Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge (Type 1)
Two part construction with original slider to the reverse. Dark toned.
The badge is fairly simple in design with the motto 'Viret in aeternum' ('It flourishes for ever'). In 1922 the Regiment was amalgamated with the 18th Hussars.
