Circa 19mm in diameter, fix shank and back marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, Engd, silver plated, in a plain line circle. It has some staining to front and wear to plate on hight points but this pattern is a very hard button to find. Coll

Scarce 2nd Battalion ( Brunswick Star ) Manchester Regiment Bronze Collar Badge

Die cast bronze with two original lugs to the reverse. Worn by the 2nd (Regular) Battalion only. Right facing. Circa 3.2cm tall.

These unofficially worn Brunswick star collar badges were also worn on the forage and fatigue caps. Made in India or Egypt and worn circa 1902 onwards.

WW1 Canada - 30th Battalion CEF Shoulder Title- maker marked Tiptaff, Birmingham

Given Tiptaff made many Canadian badges, this is most probably Canadian. But it could equally serve as a stand in for a Tyneside Irish 30th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers numeral (althougth not of the correct pattern).

Two original loops to the reverse. Circa 1.9cm wide and 1.3cm tall. Back stamped Tipftaff B'Ham in very small neat letters. UK made.

Post WW1 Real Postcard - York & Lancaster Regiment in tropical whites playing the Battalion from Church

An interesting picture, Postally unused but identified on reverse in two separate hands. Some corner wear to three corners and a small crease in top right corner, otherwise a good colonial image of the regiment headed by the band on the march in tropical climes, which by the looks of the background is in Africa.
