Pacific Islands Regiment (PIR) Brass Gilding Metal Cap Badge, 1953 - 1975

In very good condition with two original loops, vertically positioned for wear in the slouch hat. Circa 3.1cms wide and 3.9cms tall. Britain's possessions in the South Pacific were amongst the smallest imperial holdings. Scarce.

A finely di-struck white metal example which as been sliver plated and has its two original very long copper fixing loops to the reverse. Good sharp detail. Much re-produced but this example has some age to it. Lovely.
