WW2 (Royal Army Service Corps) RASC Printed Air Despatch Formation Sign Patch Flash Designation Badge
An early WW2 printed removed from uniform example of the left facing yellow " Dakota " on a blue background, worn by Air Despatch units of the RASC. This is the version with the truncated tail fin. Side and bottom edges folded over but looks to be in very good condition.

In Memoriam Printed Card for the Loss of the British Airship R101 - includes Roll of Honour
The R101 airship crashed in France during its maiden overseas voyage on 5 October 1930, killing 48 of the 54 people on board. Curiously, the memoriam card states only 47 killed, including crew and passengers. The killed included Lord Thomson, Air Minister and Sir Sefton Brancker, Air Vice Marshal of the RAF. This green cloth beret has the cap badge of 8th Battalion DLI mounted on the felt cloth diamond of the 6th Battalion. In 1967, following a national Defence Review, the last two DLI Territorial Battalions were combined to form the 6th/8th Battalion DLI, which became part of the Light Infantry's Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve.
