WW1 Home Front - Scarce Dundee Women's Suffrage Society War Relief Fund Gilt and Enamel Badge

An attractive gilt and enamel badge which shows the crest of the city of Dundee, 29mm in diameter. It is engraved with 37/2 and has the maker's details on the reverse Rattray, Dundee. It also has an extra loop mounted on it for a safety chain (the safety chain is no longer present). In good condition with only a small bit of surface damage to the surface of the enamel at about 1 o'clock.

Edwardian Real Postcard - Royal Engineers Officer living the Good Life

The epitome of peacetime soldering, at least if you were an officer. Comfy club chair, today's newspaper, soda syphon and pipe to hand, cigar box below and dog at your feet. Where did we all go wrong! Postally used 1904, message to reverse. Some minor corner wear, but otherwise in very good condition.

Posed original photo, one can just make out a curved metal shoulder title with a T above, but other than that, he remains unidentified. Good to have a clear image of the volunteered for overseas service bar. Postally unused, minor corner wear, otherwise in good condition if not a little grubby.

Original WW1 postcard showing a pontoon bridging / assault boat section, most probably Royal Engineers

Postally unused and of French manufacture, a great image of an old military lorry with two trailers attached with assault boats or pontoon boats. There is a tall chimney in the background, this is not attached to the boat! Slight crease in white card to the left of the lorry, but this is not actually on the image itself, otherwise excellent condition and scarce.

Early 8th Battalion Durham Light Infantry ( DLI ) Blazer Badge

Looking at the age of this I would date this to between the wars. Really nice to get a battalion number. The 8th Territorial Battalion had there HQ in Durham. Some ragging to the edges but a nicely woven white on black backing cloth badge.

WW1 Tobacco Tin with Contents of One Soldiers Personal Kit Knick Knacks including Dog Tags, Bullet Knife and Wound Stripe - Attributed

A wonderful complete survivor from a WW1 soldier as found in its orgiinal tobacco tin. The dog tags reveal him to have been one Pte Theodore E.
