C24mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Firmin & Sons, 153 Strand & 13 Conduit Street London. Gilt bright, in superb condition. QVC crown and VR monogram to centre of garter strap. This pattern from 1855 - 1902.
This style of maker naming used between 1856 - 1860 only making this a scrace button.

18th Light Dragoons Napoleonic Period Officer's Silver Plated Ball Button
A rare late 18th century / early 19th dark toned silver plated gilt officer's ball button from the dolman jacket, circa 1800. 13mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked C.Jennens, London. It has the numerals 18 with the letters LD below all within a pattern of leaves. most of silver plate to top half of button now back to the base metal otherwise in good condition for age.
