Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked William Jones & Co, 236 Regent Street, London. An early button silver plated now mainly worn back to the brass below, otherwise in good overall condition. Probably worn by Mess Waiters, pre 1881.

A pre 1881 other ranks button for the 4th Regt of Foot. Circa 25mm in diameter, grooved back with shank, maker marked Peter Tait & Co / E&Ws /

7th Middlesex Rifle (London Scottish) Volunteers Other Ranks White Metal Large Pattern Button, Kings Crown (1902 - 1908)
Circa 23mm in diameter, original shank and maker marked Firmin & Sons Ld, London. The version with the QVC crown is almost always the one encountered. After 1907, the button bore the upright lion as per the cap badge design (see Ripley No 434).

Essex Volunteer Artillery Victorian Officer's silvered large pattern button
Circa 25mm in diameter. EVA entwined below gun and Victorian crown and enclosed in an acorn and oak leaf wreath. Fixed shank and backstamped Hobson & Sons, 94 St Martin's Lane, London. Some wear to highpoints of silver plating otherwise in excellent condition.

Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers White Metal Pipers Large Pattern Silver Plated Button, Earlier Pattern
Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, officer quality button but silver plated and maker marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd. London Engld. White metal buttons were worn by the Irish Pipers. Possibly the Pipe Major's button as of superior quality to the usual other ranks. Some loss of plate and detail from service use and so condition is poor but rare.
