WW2 7th Armoured Brigade Woven 1st Pattern Formation Sign - The Jungle Rat!

A light green 'right facing' jerboa (jungle rat) within a red circle set on a circular white background. A bit grubby, a little stained and with some edge nibbles. not come across this pattern with a black backing before. Scarce.

The Brigade served in the M.E.F. as part of the 7th Armoured Division, but was withdrawn from the Desert and sent to Burma in 1942. It was here th...  read more

Formed in 1938 as a women only unit, this badge backing was a good way to jazz up what was otherwise a very uninspiring cap badge. This one has not been hold yet for a slider. Note the pointy end was worn to the top. Circa 7.2cm tall, hessian backed. A touch grubby but no damage or moth. Quite hard to find.
