A post 1920 pattern (Welch spelling) of two part construction, with original slider to the reverse. A white metal mounted device. A very flat example (very little dome in the grenade - see photo). Some polishing to tips of feathers otherwise in good condition.

A rare badge, much reproduced. This has two original loops, blackened brass (despite K&K claiming it was bronze), the tail does not join the main body and there is no strange lump to the reverse of the letters as found on the copies. Circa 2.8cms tall, two original lugs to the reverse and maker marked Thomas Fatonrini Ltd, Regent St, Birmingham. Gilt bright, a few slight marks otherwise in very good condition.
Introduced at regimental expense in place of cloth badges and authorised in January 1963.
