Royal Air Force RAF Medical Branch Officer's 1918 Pattern Bronze collar badge

A good scarce die cast bronze example on original loops (some slight twisting to these). Crowned laurel wreath on “Nec Aspera Terrent” scroll; rod and serpent of Aesculapius (the Greek God of Medicine) to voided centre.

AMWO 1217/18 of 10th October introduced this pattern which was shortly superseded by the usual winged pattern still in use today.

A queen's crown to the centre of a circlet bearing the motto on a multi-rayed star carrying the title: " Guards Depot ". In very good condition.

A large die struck in browning copper with a gilt finish, unmarked, very crisp detail, two original n-s connector style flat loops, circa 6.4cms wide (to top right corner) and 6.5 cms tall . Stain to central letter A in Canada otherwise in very good condition and complete with turned-up maple leaf stem (So the owner was not a Mason! (see thread to unravel this statement!)). Scarce.

A good original First World War period 'Imperial Service' die-cast nickel pin badge, worn on the uniform above right pocket by Territorial Force Soldiers who had Volunteered for Overseas Service during the Great War. A brass shoulder title for the 1st King Edward's Horse / The King's Overseas Dominions Regiment, with two original loop fastenings. As worn from 1910 until disbanded in 1924. Scarce.
