Enamel in good undamaged condition, with minor surface wear to the chrome finish. Two original lugs to the reverse (some twisting and bending) otherwise in very good condition. Die struck example with original and functional pin fittings. Circa 28mm in diameter. Minor service wear otherwise in very good condition. Worn circa 1939 - 1962.

The design is of a springbok head tracing left within a circle inscribed with the initial letters S.A.M.N.S. (English) and S.A.M.V.D. (Afrikaans). As worn on the coat lapel.
