A genuine example with lugs removed (they were north - south) and expertly attached permanently to a brass menu ring stand which has an upright ring for holding the menu card / place setting name card. Not illustrated in Westlake, but mentioned on p17. Most probably worn 1908 until disbandment in 1922. In very good condition with two original loops to the reverse. Rare.

Raised in March 1900 as South Irish Horse. Renamed in 1902 as the South of Ireland Yeomanry. Reverted back to the South Irish Horse in 1908. Disbanded in 1922.
