As worn from 1908 until 1950. Un-voided. Original slider (slightly squashed flat at top of crown). Appears to have been double struck from the reverse but does not affect front image.
This unit was 6th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1795.

A hallmarked silver example with three original brass screw posts to reverse for fitting to a pouch. Mouth of bugle carrying the maker's mark 'B&P' (Bent & Parker) and original Birmingham assay mark stamps for 1885 (date letter 'L'). Circa 49mm tall and 50mm wide. In superb condition and rare.

WW2 Cape Corps Gilt Brass Officer's Headdress Cap Beret Badge
A die cast example in brass gilt metal, gilt mainly back to brass. A smaller and much neater badge than its WW1 predecessor. Two original loops, sadly now squeezed together no doubt for mounting on a board as was the fashion in bygone times. The badge post war kept the same design but changed the title to read "KAAPSE KORPS". Circa 33mm in diameter. Sold as seen.

Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) NCOs / 2nd Battalion Pipers Silver Plated Glengarry Badge
A large Cameronians silver plated Glengarry Cap Badge with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 3 inches / 7.8cms wide. Gaylor confirms the sergeants and 2nd Battalion pipers wore a pattern 3 inches wide as opposed to 2.5 inches / 5.9cm wide as in the case of other ranks.
