A hallmarked silver example with three original brass screw posts to reverse for fitting to a pouch. Mouth of bugle carrying the maker's mark 'B&P' (Bent & Parker) and original Birmingham assay mark stamps for 1885 (date letter 'L'). Circa 49mm tall and 50mm wide. In superb condition and rare.

A die cast example in brass gilt metal, gilt mainly back to brass. A smaller and much neater badge than its WW1 predecessor. A large Cameronians silver plated Glengarry Cap Badge with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 3 inches / 7.8cms wide. Gaylor confirms the sergeants and 2nd Battalion pipers wore a pattern 3 inches wide as opposed to 2.5 inches / 5.9cm wide as in the case of other ranks.
