77th Foot (Middlesex Regiment) pre 1881 Unmarked Silver Pagri Badge
A large solid and finely cast unmarked silver white metal badge with its original stout pagri pin to reverse. Not sure if this was officer issue or regimental funded Indian mess waiter / bearer badge. It seems too well made to be the latter but happy to be corrected. In any event a scarce pre 1881 badge. Circa 5.5cms tall.

The phrase here has to be " lovingly polished " and has therefore lost a lot of detail. An early pattern cap badge on two original lugs which have some signs of service wear.
