Rare WW2 German POW Internment War Work Inlaid Wood Vesta

This is a very high quality inlaid wooden vesta or match safe, to the front it has ‘P.O.W. Shrewsbury camp’ and to the back a lovely inlaid star shape. This pattern was introduced with the change of title and was worn from 1920 onwards until a smaller pattern of this design was introduced towards the end of WW2. In very good condition with original slider, looks unissued.

Die struck cap badge in good overall condition but with some rippling to badge. Original slider to reverse. This pattern worn from onwards about 1910 onwards with a a slider. Within the Regiment is was referred to as the "Eiffel Tower" badge.
