Die cast in white metal with two original long dark toned loops to the reverse. In very good condition. Circa 27mm high and 32mm wide. As per item 5GR No D47 as illustrated in "insignia of the 5th Royal Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force) as published by the Gurkha Museum. This pattern was worn from 1943 - 1947 on the general service cap and beret. Four battalions raised in WW2.

WW2 Poland - Framed Medals to a Polish Soldier - MOL PRC (Polish Resettlement Corps)
The Monte Casino Medal is a later unnumbered copy. The other WW2 medals are original. A small cut photo image of the soldier in uniform and attributed below to the late 30049127 Staff Sergeant Stanislaw MOL PRC. A moving tribute in both English and Polish to the reverse of the frame. Worthy of further research.

19th Century Victorian Cavalry Officers Sabretache Sling Billets with original black leather attachments
A rare set of three fire gilt buckles depicting Lions heads. Minor wear, leather a bit dry but still functional. All three retaining buttons are present, but only one on show in photos. I will give the leather a mild treatment with renaissance wax before posting to make it more supple. Gilt remains bright and fresh. Scarce.
