In good condition with no damage and original slider. Often mistaken as an officer's badge but part of a commemorative set. The giveaway on this badge is the method of attaching the silver plated circlet, which has metal fixing tangs. (Please note there is a correct pattern of this cap badge worn by officers with a smaller slider but without the aforementioned tangs).

Anodised QE2 Crown on Black patent leather wrist fitting, with backing plate and cotter pin, but missing the wrist strap. Leather cracked from wear and some staining to reverse but otherwise a pleasing example and black backing suggesting as worn by Sergeant Majors' of Rifle / Gurkha regiments.

In near mint condition, single sweat /braising / expansion hole to reverse of mounted central device, two original loops and maker's tablet JR Gaunt to reverse. A scarce badge (collars were similar but worn without the scroll). Circa 1911 - 1921.
