A genuine example with brass loops, east-west. Some damage to one loop which is fractured in the centre and has been reshaped into a strong loop, otherwise in good condition and scarce. Die struck, sadly the original brass strips which retained a red felt backing to the centre no longer present but it has two original fixing loops (some service wear to these but functional), and otherwise a very fine looking badge. Circa 4.1cms tall. Worn until 1901.
