An original numbered vellum certificate issued to William Pearce born in Milor in Cornwall in 1814, but dated 1857, issued by the Board of Trade and stating he had 23 years in the Mercantile Marine including achieving the rank of Master. First 1st Royal Surrey Militia White Metal Glengarry Badge, circa 1874 - 1881

Awarded the precedence 20 in 1855, the 1st Royal Surrey Regiment of Militia became the 3rd Battalion, the East Surrey Regiment in 1881. Circa 6.5cm tall with two original lugs to the reverse. Roman numerals XX for 20. Some misshaping to orb at top of crown otherwise in good condition with only minor wear to the silver plate on the highpoints.
