British Indian & Indian Army - Sikh Light Infantry Cap Badge
A cast white metal silver plated example with two original copper loops to the reverse. In good worn condition. Circa 4cms tall. Formed in 1941 and this badge also worn post Independence.
The regiment's cap badge is a chakram or quoit, with a mounted kirpan (type of knife). The insignia was designed to honour the Khalsa community's Akali Nihang ancestry.
