One of a number of specialist branches of the Air Raid Precautions ( ARP ) Services Organisation, personnel of the First Aid Post Service manned static posts at at which the lightly wounded were treated and the more serious casualties referred on to hospitals. Voided variety, with good detail. Worn circa 1870s - 1881. In 1881, by the Royal South Wales Borderers Militia ( Royal Radnor nad Brecknock Rifles ) it was redesignated as the 3rd (Militia) Battalion, South Wales Borderers. Circa 7.8cm tall with two original lugs to the reverse.

The Division was reformed in May 1951 in the UK and later assigned to the British Army of the Rhine in Germany. It consisted of the 20th Armoured Brigade and 61st Lorried Infantry Brigade. It was disbanded in June 1958
