Worn as an arm badge by WOs & SNCOs on Mess Dress. The motto "Qui s'y frotte, s'y brule" translates as "Touch me, and you burn". It commemorates 9th RTR for their services in WW1.

Crowned Garter resting in four-part scroll “Queen’s Own Corps of Guides”, VR to voided centre field service cap badge. UK made, die cast, with two original long silvered loops to the reverse. Stamped "Sterling" to reverse of crown. Circa 3.3cms tall. Silver dark toned, almost black, and some dried polish in voids otherwise in very good condition.
