A scarce bi-metal glengarry badge for a non-commissioned officer of The 42nd Foot (later 1st battalion of The Black Watch, Royal Highland Regiment) with two original lug fastenings (east and west). Some service wear but otherwise in reasonable condition. QVC crown, but worn post 1900 also.

A large stiff brass die struck badge with two original loops to the reverse (some bending with service wear but fully functional). Traces of the original gilt wash still evident in the nooks and crannies but mainly now back to a dark toned brass. The other pattern (K&K Vol 1 No 536) is wildly copied, but not this pattern which Bloomer claims was worn on the Feather Bonnet. Circa 8.8cms tall....  read more

Facing, but not matching although a good match from the front, of two part construction with two original loops to the reverse of each. A pre 1922 pattern issue without the loop in the tail. These are also Griffins rather than the later adopted Dragoons. Worn 1902 - 1922.

Worn from circa 1874 - 1881, a two-part riveted construction early glengarry with the castle in silver plate and the garter in gilt. Some dulling to gilt but detail is sharp. Original stout and functional pin fitting and C clasp to reverse. Circa 4.2cms wide and 5cms tall. A rare item.
