A WW1 war raised unit formed in February 1918 from the three Household Cavalry regiments and the existing Guards Machine Gun Battalion (see item above), making the 1st to 3rd and 4th Battalions respectively. Disbanded in 1920.

A good stiff bi-metal badge with two original long loops to the reverse. Slight nick in the bottom ray of the star otherwise in good condition.

A red cloth backing insert was worn behind the wee jimmy by the 1st Battalion, and a green cloth backing by the 2nd Battalion.

A lovely old striking with three sweat / braising holes to the reverse of the scroll with two dark toned original lugs to the reverse. Some verdigris to reverse. Sharp detail to front.

A Victorian issue cap / collar badge with two original long dark toned loops to the reverse. Churchill confirms that this small pattern badge, which was also worn as a collar, was latterly fitted with a slider for wear on the Brodrick Cap 1898-1905 (p42 of the "History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge" refers). In good condition.
