Silver plated, with plate in very good condition. Fixed shank, maker marked Pitt & Co, Maddox St, London to reverse. Circa 19mm in diameter. Some minor marks. Flat topped Victorian crown dates it to pre-1902.

Medium Pattern Gilt Button as worn by a member of the personal staff of Edward, Prince of Wales, Made for the Royal Tour to India & Burma in 1921 - 22
A rare and attractive engraved medium sized gilt button, circa 15mm in diameter, flat backed button with fixed shank. Maker marked Firmin London.
Worn during the visit by Edward, Prince of Wales, later Duke of Windsor to India & Burma November 17, 1921 - March 7, 1922. He sailed on HMS Renown.

The East Surrey Regiment (31st & 70th Foot) Other Ranks Edwardian Issue Bi-Metal Cap Badge
An earlier pattern badge with two original lugs to the reverse and six expansion / braising / sweat holes to the reverse. A great badge with sharp detail, some twisting to lugs. Circa 4.2cm tall. Evidence of feet to base of one lug, which just goes to show that as with all rules there are exceptions as this is a period badge with period and original lugs.

A good pair of collar badges almost an exact match but with some slight differences and hard to discern from the front. Two original loops to the reverse of each with sweat / braising / expansion holes to rear. Sharp detail and with no damage to lance pennons.

Sudan - Upper Nile Province White Metal Cap / Sun Helmet Pagri Badge
Die cast with two original loops to reverse. Very light service wear to spear poles otherwise in very good condition and dating to the 1930s. As worn by British colonial civil administrators and potentially the provinces police force (confirmation for this last statement required). A rare badge not often encountered.

A scarce No 250 Sudan Fighter Squadron Desert Air Force gilt and enamel lapel badge, taller than usual at circa 4.1cm tall. It depicts an African Fish Eagle with motto "Close To The Sun". The pin fitting to the reverse in excellent condition and fully functional, enamel intact and attractive.
