An attractive gilt and enamel badge which shows the crest of the city of Dundee, 29mm in diameter. It is engraved with 37/2 and has the maker's details on the reverse Rattray, Dundee. A rare WW1 Torpedo badge. This badge had to be applied for and was authorised on 6th June 1918 for wear by Merchant Navy personnel sunk by enemy action. Circa 7.2cm wide and 1.8cm tall. In very good condition.

Circa 23mm in diameter, fixed shank, silver plate now very dark toned. Backmarked CR&Co Extra Rich (Charles Rowley & Co., 146-148 High Street, Bordesley Birmingham). A scarce maker, who also supplied buttons through the blockade to some units American units active in the American Civil War.
