Circa 18.5mm in diameter, fixed shank, silver plate in superb condition with slight edge wear. Maker marked Mark Sanders & Co (based in Birmingham). Unit formed 30 June 1794. A reasonably large corps, with circa 30 officers in 1797.

Georgian Napoleonic Royal Regiment of Artillery Officer's Gilt Two Piece Construction Tunic Coatee Button
This button displays the Ordnance arms. Circa 20.5mm in diameter, it is slightly convex and of two part metal construction with original shank to reverse and a blow hole to reverse for heat expansion when the two parts were braised together. A gorgeous two part riveted construction collar badge silver plate and gilt, facing right. Marked 'P' to the reverse and maker marked JR Gaunt London. Two original D shaped loops. Gilt bright and no wear to silver plate. This was a short-lived pattern, having been introduced in 1948. King's crown so pre 1952.
