Victorian 1st Argyll Highland Rifle Volunteers Other Ranks White Metal Glengarry Badge, 1880 - 1887
Unvoided with two long original lugs to the reverse. Cat with tail up. Circle carries the title of the unit "1st Argyll Highland Rifle Volunteers ". Circa 7.9cms tall. Some wear and bending to lugs otherwise sharp detail and lightly domed, a lovely example.

Cats tail down, seven voids, with two original long loops to the reverse, some twisting and one slightly sprung from the badge but still fully functional. Sharp detail with no polishing. Removed from a display board - pristine reverse as no oxidization.

Came together so presumably removed from the same blazer or tunic, 4 large (maker marked, 2 by Pitt & Co, 2 by London Badge & Button) and 4 medium pattern (unmarked), circa 23mm and 17mm respectively, with shanks, all in very good condition with the exception of one smaller button which has a few stain marks to the gilt finish. WW2 'A and SH' (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders) Embroidered White on Red Felt Cloth Shoulder Title
In very good condition, white mesh hessian backed. Some glue and paper traces to reverse. This is the scarcer pattern with "and" in place of "&". Pre 1943 and most probably an officer's issue given its obvious quality and the existence of the economy printed version.

An early pattern pair of facing and matching collar badges (a close but not exact match) in very good condition with two original loops to the reverse (minor service wear and bending). Cats Tail Up, which Churchill claims is a pre 1902 issue.
