Indian Army - 4th Bombay Grenadiers Officers Bi - metal Grenade Cap Badge (small pattern)
Small cast brass grenade with applied white metal (probably silver) horse with two original fixing loops to rear (some twisting to these but still functional). UK made. Horse facing left. Circa 3.7cm tall with flat flames. Formerly to 1922 they were the 101st Grenadiers and wore a similar badge but the horse was rearing (see Cox No 2532).

WW1 / WW2 Royal Navy RN Petty Officer's Full Dress Peak Cap Badge
Removed from cap. A padded bullion wire example with embroidered crown and silver plated metal fouled anchor to centre, on black wool background. Hessian backed with strengthening bar. In worn condition and a bit grubby but should clean up reasonably with some gentle TLC.

78th Ross-shire Buffs forage cap pre 1881, modified
A 78th Ross-shire Buffs yellow brass die struck forage cap badge with three dark toned loops to the reverse but with the top number '78' removed.
This pattern was worn prior to 1881, but this one has had the '78' which was located at the top of the scroll Assaye neatly removed. The originally the badge would have been 57x55 mm but is now 57 mm wide and 42mm tall. Perhaps modi... read more
