Indian Army - 10th Gurkha Rifles (Sic) Blackened Brass Cap Badge
This badge falls into the category of oddity / manufacturer's error. It was mistakenly made for the 10th Gurkha Rifles with the number 15 above crossed kukris when in India in the early 1930s due to an administrative error. Presumably never issued. In good condition with two original loops to the reverse.

WW2 Home Front - Observer Corps Officer's Gilt Cap Badge
A scarce original officer's pre 1941 die cast figure of an Elizabethan coast-watcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon resting in a curved scroll inscribed 'Observer Corps'; the reverse retaining two original long loops (some slight twisting from service wear). Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) Officers Silver Plated, Gilt & Enamel Cap Badge
Of two-part construction with black enamel centre disk behind a silvered rose (padded with material presumably to act as a 'shock absorber' to prevent damage to the enamel disc). In good overall condition complete with two original long lugs (some twisting) but with some wear to the gilt finish.
