Malay Regiment Fire Gilt Officers Cap Badge, adopted 1933
A stunning example, die cast on two original loops. Circa 40mm tall by 27mm wide. Slight twisting to loops and a few small marks to the gilt finish otherwise in excellent condition. Scarce.
This was a two battalion force which fought well in the doomed defence of Singapore. After Japan's defeat it was revived and by the time of Independence in 1957 was seven battalions strong.

Useful. In very good condition. As worn on the Khaki peaked cap and forage cap by 2GR. Circa 3cm in diameter and 2cm tall. Last one I have.
It could also serve as formation commanders collar badge as per BoBD no 361.

New Zealand - The Otago and Southland Regiment Officer's Gilt Cap Badge - Gaunt London
Die cast in fire gilt, with the Maori's head facing to right, long loops as one would expect to find on the cap badge. Maker marked JR Gaunt London. Gilt bright and badge complete with spear end. A lovely example worn from 1948 - 1964. Collars were of the same size but facing.
