3rd Hampshire Hants Militia Officer's Enamel, Gilt and Silver Plated Collar Badge
A rare cast collar badge of two part construction with two orginal dark toned loops to the reverse. The rose in red and green enamel on a gilt rose surrounded by an open at top laurel wreath in silver plate. A good scarce die stamped blackened metal example. Maltese cross surmounted by a Victorian crown; Lions between the arms of the cross which are inscribed "Dorset" "Rifle" "Volrs". To the voided centre , within a circlet inscribed " Pro Patria", a strung bugle. Three original loops to the reverse. In very good condition.
