Pacific Islands Regiment (PIR) Brass Gilding Metal Cap Badge, 1953 - 1975
In very good condition with two original loops, vertically positioned for wear in the slouch hat. Circa 3.1cms wide and 3.9cms tall. Britain's possessions in the South Pacific were amongst the smallest imperial holdings. Scarce.

A die struck bronze cap badge with original slider. In very good condition. Neither the W nor H are fully voided as found on copies of this badge.
The unit was a war raised unit raised in South Wales in August 1914 and had effectively ceased to exist by 1917.
