A scarce collar badge of the CLI with an original small slider to reverse, presumably for wear in the sun helmet pagri band or field service cap - no signs of lugs ever having been fitted. Circa 2.6cm tall (excluding slider). Worn circa 1881 - 1949. Came on a red felt triangle.

A quite stunning badge, heavy solid cast in one piece in what looks like unmarked Indian silver with original pagri fitting. Circa 7.2cms tall.
