47 (Middlesex Yeomanry Cavalry) Signal Squadron Officer's Bullion Side Cap Badge - QEII issue

Superb quality officers field service cap bullion wire embroidered cap badge as worn on the left side of the cap. A nicely padded badge has the " MYC " monogram on a black velvet ground to the centre of an oval bearing the motto and surmounted by a Queen's crown. Scarce.

56th London Armoured Division Embroidered 2nd Pattern Silk Embroidered Cloth Formation Sign Patch Designation Badge

As worn by this post war Territorial Army Division from 1950 onwards. It is in embroidered silk. Removed from uniform but still in very good condition.

During the Second World War, 56th (London) Division adopted a black silhouette of Dick Whittington's cat on a red ground as its formation sign, leading to its nickname of the 'Black Cats'.

Three Patterns of Artist Rifles Large Pattern Buttons

All circa 25mm in diameter, one with floating shank two with fixed shanks, maker marked, two by Hobson and one by Firmin. Some loss of detail from polishing to two and wear to the blackened finish of one. Light glue traces to reverse of all three as removed from a display board.

Circa 20.5 mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker's mark, Firmin's London. An early button, circa 1830 - 1855. Some service wear and stain to front. Gilt back to brass. In 1881 Army reforms, the 89th Foot became the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Irish Fusiliers. Rare.
