Theatre cast in white metal with two original copper loops to the reverse. King's crown. Circa 34mm tall. King's crown. In very good condition. As worn from 1922 until circa 1950. The spelling of the regimental name changed to the Maratha Light Infantry after Independence.

A large and impressive other ranks quality pagri badge in cast white metal, looks to have been silver-plated, depicting a crowned quoit with a seated Chinthern to voided centre, '90' below and a scroll 'Punjabis', stout pin back with original fittings. Circa 7.2cms tall. Worn circa 1903-1922.

The Ajmer Regiment was an Indian Army Regiment raised during the Second World War. A very pleasing example theatre made badge with original slider. In very good condition with sharp detail. Circa 39mm tall. Scarce.
The 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Ajmer Regiment were converted from the 26th and 27th Battalions, 4th Bombay Grenadiers, and disbanded after the war.
