WW1 The Wounded Stripe - No 4 Provisional Patent
Two original lugs. This is exactly 2 inches in length and was authorised for wear by Army Order 249 of August 1916 and this was only issued in this size up to 1922 (discontinued for wear on uniform by Army Order 434 of 1922). Backing plate missing.
Wound stripes issued in WW2 were only 1.5 inches in length.

Anodised QE2 Crown on Black patent leather wrist fitting, with backing plate and cotter pin, but missing the wrist strap. Leather cracked from wear and some staining to reverse but otherwise a pleasing example and black backing suggesting as worn by Sergeant Majors' of Rifle / Gurkha regiments.
