Victorian Medical Staff Corps Officer's Fire Gilt Button Set

Circa 23mm and 15mm in diameter respectively. Fixed shanks and all maker marked J.W. Reynolds & Co, 50 St. Martin's Lane, London. The smaller pair most probably from cap. All in brilliant fire gilt and of a super quality. Only fault is one of the smaller buttons has a small scratch near rim. Scarce maker. Worn 1855 - 1898. From 1898 became the RAMC.

Circa 23mm in diameter, fixed shank, a two part button with the device separately mounted in gilt, maker marked Jennens & Co London which pre-dates this Generals button to before 1924. Gilt bright, super condition for age. Scarce.
