Early and scarce anodised aluminium button, gilt coloured, circa 26mm in diameter. Floating shank. Backmarked Buttons Limited, Birmingham. Slight wear to castle's highpoints, which looks worse in the photo. King's crown therefore most probably pre 1953. This pattern was only worn until 1959.

Queen Alexandras Royal Army Nursing Corps Officers Pair of Brass Buttons, Large and Medium Patterns, King's Crown
Circa 26mm and 17mm respectively, with fixed shanks and both maker marked Gaunt London. Both in very good condition. These are scarce buttons, only worn from 1949 to 1952, with a change in crown thereafter to a QEII crown.

One large pattern at circa 25mm in diameter and one medium pattern button at circa 19mm in diameter, both with fixed shanks and maker marked JR Gaunt London to the reverse. In good condition, with minor service wear. King Edward VIII abdicated before his Coronation. Scarce.
