two original loops to the reverse (D shaped) and with a JR Gaunt London maker's tablet. Circa 2.3cms in diameter. This pattern with unvoided fern leaves. Motto: 'Pour Devior' (For Right). King's Crown. There was a later QEII version with a Queen's Crown.

New Zealand - The Otago and Southland Regiment Officer's Gilt Cap Badge - Gaunt London
Die cast in fire gilt, with the Maori's head facing to right, long loops as one would expect to find on the cap badge. Maker marked JR Gaunt London. Gilt bright and badge complete with spear end. A lovely example worn from 1948 - 1964. Collars were of the same size but facing.

Both in very good condition with two original loops to the reverse of each (D shaped to collar) and each with a JR Gaunt London maker's tablet. Circa 3.1cms and 2.3cms in diameter respectively. This pattern with unvoided fern leaves. Motto: 'Pour Devior' (For Right). Both King's Crown. There was a later QEII version with a Queen's Crown.

New Zealand (NZ) Junior Cadets Brass Cap Badge
A large domed badge with two original loops. Dark toned, some minor staining and signs of service wear to edges and loops but in generally good condition. Worn by junior cadets between the ages of 12 and 14. George V cypher so post 1911. After WW1 they tended to adopt the regimental badge of the unit to which they were affiliated. Circa 5cms tall.
