New Zealand WW1 - Matched Facing Pair of Blackened Collar badges to the New Zealand Rifle Brigade

A matched facing pair of die struck collar badges with two original loops to the reverse of each. The cap badge and collar badges were the same size. The collars were worn facing inwards, the cap badge faced to the left. Circa 4cm tall. A lovely set with virtually no wear to the black finish.

According to Oldham, these were also re-introduced in WW2 for wear by various NZ Home Guard and National Military units during WW2. As these are a bit taller than others I have encountered and without the distinctive small rondel on the lions lower arm / shoulder, I do wonder whether these are of WW2 manufacture. Any information welcome.
