The Bedfordshire Regiment Edwardian Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge, long slider

The Bedfordshire Regiment Edwardian Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge, long slider

A gorgeous die struck bi-metal cap badge with a very long original slider, with three sweat / braising holes to the reverse of the scroll, in near mint condition. This pattern worn until 1919, but replaced with the short slider once the Brodrick cap fell out of fashion. These long sliders are associated with the unpopular Brodrick cap, but on first glance it could almost be a pagri.

Connaught Rangers ( 88th & 94th Foot) Other Ranks Victorian QVC Issue Gilding Metal Cap Badge

A pleasing example with two original dark toned loops to the reverse (some twisting and opening to these). With voided harp strings and in overall very good condition. Hard to come by as this pattern only worn 1896 - 1902, when it was replaced with a King's Crown. The Regiment was disbanded in 1922.

The Border Regiment (34th & 55th Foot) - QVC Victorian Smaller Pattern Other Ranks White Metal Cap Badge

Die struck, with retaining original brass strips holding original red felt backing to centre but with what look like two replacement long copper loops. Nicely done, but I do not consider these to be the original loops, otherwise a verv fine looking badge. Circa 4.2cm tall. Also worn with a king's crown post 1902.
