Worcestershire Regiment Valise Badge, 2nd pattern, circa 1881 - 1890
A heavy cast gilt brass valise badge for The Worcestershire Regiment with the usual 'box' fastening. Some minor wear to gilt finish on bottom rays otherwise in great condition and rare.

A most attractive badge, die struck with two original dark toned lugs to the reverse and a number of braising / sweat / expansion holes to the reverse of the A. Some slight twisting to lugs otherwise in very good condition. This pattern worn until circa 1908.

A scarce badge, with original slider, not as long as that encountered on pre 1906 examples, so probably WW1 vintage. Scottish Gordon Highlander's Full Dress Sporran Silver Plated Badge Insignia
