Victorian / Edwardian Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders ( A&SH ) Other Rank's Pagri Badge
Non -voided die struck Victorian / Edwardian pattern pagri badge for wear on the sun helmet, with original long slider to reverse. A good well struck stiff badge in excellent condition with sharp detail. Cat's tail up! At circa 8cm tall and 6cm wide, this was the largest cap badge in the British Army.

The largest cap badge worn in the the British Army, this is die struck white metal with two original lugs to the reverse. Voided centre ( 8 voids) but this is the more unsual pattern where the Sutherland cat has its "tail up". See close up photo. Circa 8cm tall and 6.2cm wide. Victorian / Edwardian Pattern Scots Guards Brass Cap Badge - For Slouch hat?
An unusual cap badge with two lugs mounted to the top of the star and a sharp little brass hook at the bottom. It may have had lug removed further down, but it only looks like one. Most odd. This reminds me of badges worn by other units on the slouch hat. I wonder whether this was worn by the mounted infantry section of the Scots Guards which would date it to around 1895 and after. ... read more
5th VB Durham Light Infantry (DLI) White Metal Other Ranks Cap Badge
This pattern (note crown) attributed to the 5th (Gateshead) Volunteer Battalion, the Durham Light Infantry. Worn until 1908. It has a contemporary repair to/replacement slider but this has been very well done. Polished condition and worn, but an unusual pattern crown and scarce. Condition reflected in price.

Scarce Connaught Ranger's Indian Mess Servant Badge and Large Button
Sold together as found. Elephant badge is a heavy solid cast brass with with two small lugs (north - south). Apparently worn on the front of the tunic and not the headdress. Circa 4cm wide and 3cm tall.
The button is gilt bronze with some wear to gilt and has an indent near the ear of the elephant. It has a fixed shank and is 27mm in diameter. Maker marked Woodrow & Co, Lo... read more
