Posed original photo, one can just make out a curved metal shoulder title with a T above, but other than that, he remains unidentified. Good to have a clear image of the volunteered for overseas service bar. Postally unused, minor corner wear, otherwise in good condition if not a little grubby.

A photo of a grave stone in an unidentified Tweedmouth church graveyard (although I beleive they were methodists) commemorating Norman Elliot of the 2nd Royal Scots who fell in France aged 19 on the 12th October 1918 and who was interred at Philosophe Military Cemetery (in Pas de Calais, France). An impressive large and scarce original black and white mounted photograph with names of all the officer cadets or midshipmen below including their instructors and senior officers, taken by a Cowes (Isle of Wight) photographer. No 23 of a set of 108 different cards distributed by a number of different cigarette manufacturers entitled "Crests & Badges of the British Army".
