Green Howards- North Riding of Yorkshire- Home Guard Association Enamel Lapel Badge
A small brass and enamel lapel badge with buttonhole fitting to the reverse (fitting slightly twisted). The titles " Green Howards N.R. " backed with green enamel between red enamel backed " Home Guard " and " Association ". Enamel in very good condition. Scarce.

A good example of a Second World War British Red Cross Society silk embroidered felt badge worn by the Mobile unit of the Voluntary Aid Detachments on the arm of the uniform. A rough sand cast example no doubt made for Allied Forces following the capture of Tunis in 1943. Circa 4cm across with original pin fitting. An attractive design in the form of a crescent with a camel, mosque and date palm with the date 1943 and Tunis incorporated into the design. Most likely a victory souvenir sold in the souks and bazaars of Tunis.

A good stiff brass badge with original slider. Queens crown denotes post 1952. Welsh Home Guard unit, 2nd phase, 1951 to 1957.

A rare original WW2 BBC leaflet for the British Broadcasting Corporation giving details of weekly information broadcasts sent out from London by Morse Code around the world including occupied Europe. Circa 8 inches by 5 inches and printed in ten languages over four sides on wartime austerity paper. In good condition, has been folded but no damage, repairs or annotations.

A scarce original wartime National Savings stamp savings greeting card. Unused and in very good condition. The card is circa 12cm by 9.5cm.
This one shows a British Infantry sentry on a starry night looking out over Bethlehem a combined operations formation sign on his greatcoat sleeve. Inside somebody has written in pencil "1943".
