Royal Marines Helmet Plate, King's Crown

A good stiff brass helmet plate to the Royal Marines with two original loops to the reverse (east - west). Slight polishing to the continents on the globe otherwise in very good condition. Circa 8.5cm tall.

Royal Marines Colour Sergeants Embroidered Bullion Wire Arm Badge, QEII issue

Gold bullion wire embroidered queen's crown Colour Sergeant's sleeve badge. The globe backed by crossed by coloured threads Union Flags above a fouled anchor within a wreath of laurel surmounted by a red velvet inset crown all on a shaped black backing. Removed from uniform. A slight tear in the black material to the left side otherwise in good condition.

Royal Navy Mine Clearance Service Arm Badge

A worn example with nicely curved backing plate and cotter pin. Two original loops to reverse. This one has the slight central die flaw that runs vertically down the centre of the mine as found on some original examples. The copies, of which there are many, have a diagonal flaw line running from the top left to bottom right of the badge. In very good condition.

A non matched pair of officer's full dress collar badges, large and more open than the laurel leaves on the pair listed below, two part construction, a good match from the reverse but not matching to front. Two original lugs to the reverse of each. Unequal wear with more polishing to the detail on globe of one and with a slight colour variation to gilt brass finish. In good condition.

Royal Naval / Royal Marines School of Music Bandsman's brass cap badge circa 1921-36 and also worn by RM bands without specific cap badges.

A die-stamped Globe and Laurels with lyre on top and two original loops to the reverse (some twisting to these). In good condition with sharp detail.

Removed from cap, still tied with tidily bow, in good but worn condition with some grubby marks - attached to it by a single staple is a paper label which summarises this ship's service, which was in commission from 1938 - 1942 when unfortunately it was torpedoed in the Java Sea in 1942 in action with the Japanese invasion force. Scarce.
