Gold bullion wire embroidered queen's crown Colour Sergeant's sleeve badge. The globe backed by crossed by coloured threads Union Flags above a fouled anchor within a wreath of laurel surmounted by a red velvet inset crown all on a shaped black backing. Removed from uniform. A slight tear in the black material to the left side otherwise in good condition.

Royal Navy Mine Clearance Service Arm Badge
A worn example with nicely curved backing plate and cotter pin. Two original loops to reverse. This one has the slight central die flaw that runs vertically down the centre of the mine as found on some original examples. Removed from cap, still tied with tidily bow, in good but worn condition with some grubby marks - attached to it by a single staple is a paper label which summarises this ship's service, which was in commission from 1938 - 1942 when unfortunately it was torpedoed in the Java Sea in 1942 in action with the Japanese invasion force. Scarce.
