In good worn condition with two original loops to the reverse (slightly bent). This is the larger pattern as worn by Other Ranks. Circa 49mm wide by 16mm tall.

Westlake confirms that the straight RMA brass shoulder title was worn until 1923.

WW1 Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) Armoured Car Section Collar / Lapel Badge

A scarce bronzed collar badge with two original loops (slight verdigris to reverse of one loop). As worn by the R.N.A.S. Armoured Car Section during WW1 from 1916 onwards. It depicts an Armoured Car to the centre of a crowned oval. Circa 4.1cm wide and 4.7cm tall. In superb condition for age, with its original bronze patina.

For security reasons during World War 2 all Royal Navy sailors and Wrens wore just H.M.S. (His Majesty's Ship) on their cap tally.

A rare and original die struck cap badge in the form of Double scrolls bearing the title and motto surmounted by the Coronet and spear. In good condition (a little bit wrinkled), hessian backed. Authorised for wear on battledress in June 1941, replaced with a printed version in April 1943. initially worn by RN Beachmasters and with a separate supplementary Commando title by RN Commando units on battledress. Rare.

Royal Navy (RN) Telegraphists / Wireless Operators Bullion Cloth Rating Badge

Removed from uniform. The paper packing cloth is unusual in that it reveals the makers name, 'Gwendyr Make' which suggests a Welsh manufacturer. A search on line shows they made items high quality embroidered items for the US forces stationed in the UK during WW2 and well as items for the Royal Navy and RAF both during and after WW2.
