WW1 Matched Pair of Brass Pioneer Battalion Collar Badges
A good matched pair, but some misshaping from service wear. Each has its original 4 lugs to each. Slight fracture in one collar where the sling meets the pickaxe shaft, more noticeable from the reverse, otherwise in good condition. Worn by a number of territorial and service battalion formations during WW1, such as the 18th and 19th Northumberland Fusiliers to mention just two. read more

Postally unused, this Belgian card commemorates the memorial to the capture of the civilian Captain Fryatt of the Great Eastern Railway Company shipping line who was executed by the Germans. Not encountered this one before. The word ship on pencil to the reverse.
